This year we are also hosting a FREE showing of the Women's Work Documentary followed by a panel discussion of local female producers. This event will be at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint on November 5th starting at 7:00 pm.
The food summit this year highlights our region's agricultural heritage and women farmers whose mentorship and expertise contribute to local food production, community resilience, economic vitality, and wellness.
The Selkirk-Pend Oreille Food Summit is a one-day event focused on growing connections between farmers, ranchers, and foragers and residents, restaurants, and retailers. Listen to 5-minute "Ignite!" presentations highlighting the amazing work being done in the region, enjoy a locally catered lunch, engage in skill building workshops, and take advantage of an abundance of opportunities for networking. From farmers, ranchers, foragers, and gardeners to chefs, restauranteurs, foodies, and community members, this summit has something for everyone. Come to learn and share. Leave with new connections and ideas for supporting local farms and eating year-round in the Selkirk-Pend Oreille region!
